STATUE OF LIBERTY:

The Statue of Liberty was a gift from the French to the United States. It started being built in September 1875 and was finished in 1884. The Statue of Liberty arrived in the US in 1885. Finally, on October 28 1886, US President Grover Cleveland accepted the Statue of Liberty and her pedestal was built.
The Statue of Liberty is 46.5m tall and stands on a 47m tall pedestal. 192 steps lead to the top of the pedestal, with another 354 steps leading up to the crown. The total weight of the Statue of Liberty is 254 tons.

Times Square is a major commercial intersection and neighbourhood located in Manhattan, New York City. It is one of the world's most visited tourist attraction, with over 39 million visitors annually. Approximately 330,00 people cross through Times Square daily, many of whom are people working in the area or tourists. Times Tower was built in 1904 on 43rd st.
METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART:

The Metropolitan Museum of Art, located in New York City, one of the ten largest museums in the world, and the largest in the US. The museum was built in 1870 and established on February 20th, 1872. The Metropolitan Museum of Art gets an average 6,280,000 visitors per year.
EMPIRE STATE BUILDING:

The Empire State Building is located in Manhattan, New York City. The construction of this skyscraper started in 1929. The opening celebrations of The Empire State Building took place on May the 1st 1931. The New Yorkers loved the new skyscraper but it would take many years before the many office spaces were filled. They called it 'Empty State Building'.
The Empire State Building was a great backdrop for some very famous Hollywood movies including 'King Kong'.
